Have you ever wondered where the British Royal Family always go on vacation? Although they spend the majority of their lives in the limelight, it turns out the Royals still manage to find some time to relax and unwind in between, too.
Balmoral Castle, Scotland
Prince Philip and the Queen like to stay close to home for their vacations as the couple often jet off to Balmoral Castle in Scotland. Many close to the Queen say that she is happiest when she is at the castle, but that’s not all. The pair are often joined by other members of the family throughout the summer as it seems as though no Royal can get enough of Balmoral. Plus, there have always been plenty of places to walk the corgis in the grounds.
Anmer Hall, Norfolk
Kate and William appear to have a favorite destination too: Norfolk. The pair regularly head to Anmer Hall as the Georgian house is large enough for all of the little ones to run around and explore. Although the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are often spotted enjoying a staycation, they have also been known to jet off to the likes of France and Mustique to make the most of the sun.
Yes, it turns out that even the Royals know how to get down and party every now and then. Meghan and Harry reportedly flew to the island at the beginning of August 2019 as they enjoyed a mini-break with their new son. However, they aren’t alone. Zara and Mike Tindall and Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice have also been spotted enjoying themselves at one of the party capitals of the world over the years.
Some of the Royals want to enjoy the sun without heading out to nightclubs every night. Perhaps that’s why Charles and Camilla often opt for a trip to Corfu? The pair apparently love to stay in the Kerasia region throughout the summer where they spend their time in the luxurious Rothschild Villa. Here, the royal couple are cut off from any prying eyes while still getting to enjoy breathtaking views of the beach and the crystal clear waters down below.
It turns out that Zara and Mike Tindall have enjoyed some spectacular vacations over the years as they have combined staycations with partying trips to Ibiza. However, the couple and their eldest daughter, Mia, have also been spotted in Cyprus. The island is filled with many incredible views as well as plenty to keep the whole family entertained. The best bit? Cyprus is also filled with a rich history that is just waiting to be told.
Although the British Royal Family spend the majority of their time working, it turns out you really can’t have all work and no play. Thankfully, they still find ways to jet off around the world, and it looks as though they have found some favorite destinations over the years. Perhaps our next trip could see us rubbing shoulders with the Royals?
