Lionel Messi was given a chance by a soccer academy in Barcelona

There are times in life when we need someone to take a chance. This meant he had to have several injections throughout his life – something that would have cost a small fortune. Sadly, the soccer star was born in Argentina, and it’s suggested that his family wouldn’t have been able to afford the treatment. That was until a Barcelona academy was so impressed with his skills that they took Lionel on and paid for all of his medical bills.

Of course, we can’t forget the half-mirrored-half-glass roof used to flood the space with plenty of natural light.

David Beckham’s childhood home failed to sell in 2008

Some people would do anything to get their hands on the place David Beckham once called home. Sadly, it wasn’t meant to be for the new owner of the East London home as Iftikhar Mehmood put the place on the market in 2008 and failed to reach the £250,000 (approximately $345,000) asking price. Apparently, he never even knew that David once called the place his home.

Iftikhar invested thousands of dollars turning the home into two London apartments and hoped the ‘Becks Effect’ would soon drum up some interest. There might be a reason the apartments didn’t sell: David only lived in the house until he was two years old, meaning there’s only a couple of years of history.

It didn’t take long for people to realize that Anthony had a lot of potential, especially as he was perfecting his long shots before he was handed an official NBA jersey. It might be no wonder this became one of his signature moves as Anthony now stands at a whopping six-foot-ten-inches tall. That’s pretty impressive.

There are plenty of rooms if Paul decides to invite some of his teammates round as there are a whopping ten bathrooms and seven bedrooms. Plus, if they want something interesting to do, there’s always the temperature-controlled drinks cellar and swimming pool.
